Summary of Role:
1. Manages relationships with government bodies to encourage a favorable image and reputation of the company in the eye of the government.
2. Plans, organizes and leads activities associated with government relations.
3. Manages links between the government and the company that may positively influence business initiatives.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement China public affairs strategy Develop in-depth knowledge of China healthcare system and healthcare policies.
2. Drive key public affairs initiatives to create a favorable environment for FMC businesses.
3. Develop and maintain high-level government relationships with key stakeholders including MOH, SFDA, NDRC and MOLSS
4. Drive and coordinate collaboration across BUs on government affairs programs
5. Oversee the implementation of important group government affairs cooperation programs
6. Support top management visits to China
7. Support to BU on strategic public affairs issues
Qualifications:
1. Must have strong communication skills in spoken and written English.
2. Have excellent perspicacity of market orientation.
3. Have skills in market negotiation.
4. Have skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees and the public.
5. Have knowledge of the budgeting process.
6. Have skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives.
7. Have skill in evaluating organizational operations as they relate to policies, goals and objectives and costs.
8. Have ability to create a collegial atmosphere which encourages motivation, innovation and high performance.
9. Have interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with internal and external personnel. Strong spoken and written skills in English.
10. He or she should be a team player and hands on experience in MS Office.
11. University graduate with a degree.
12. at least 15 years’ public affairs’ operation experience preferably in multinational company with 10 years as a team leader.
13. Have strong relationships with government.
